Brickify
A PIN on its own can be guessed, watched or forgotten. So Brickify asks for a second key as well, and gives you three spares.
Do it
- Choose a second factor: a parent PIN, an authenticator app, or an email code. Unbricking needs your PIN and this.
- Save the three recovery codes. They're shown once. Each one works once, and gets you back in if you ever lose both your PIN and your second factor.
- Put them somewhere that isn't the phone. On paper in a drawer, or in your password manager. Not a screenshot on your child's phone.
Why it matters
Two keys mean a watched PIN isn't enough on its own. The spares mean you can't lock yourself out by accident either.
