Blocking an app doesn't help if the same thing is one browser tab away. Today you close the ways round.
Do it
- Every browser. Safari or Chrome, plus anything else that came with the phone (Samsung Internet, for example). Add them to your profiles.
- The app store, so new apps can't arrive. iPhone: Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases → Installing Apps → Don't Allow. Android: block the Play Store in your profiles.
- In-app purchases. iPhone: in the same menu, In-app Purchases → Don't Allow. Android: Play Store → Settings → Authentication → require authentication for all purchases.
Watch for hidden browsers
Some apps open web links inside themselves. If an app you've allowed has a built-in browser, it's a side door too. Decide whether it belongs in the Home profile at all.
